The new way to use the Firebox is that I used the Grill Plate as a heat defuser to avoid burning the rice. I also used the lid of the mess kit pot to heat up my chili while the rice was cooking down below in the pot. It worked great! The rice was cooked to perfection and wasn\'t burned on the bottom. And the chili was hot and ready to go when the rice was finished cooking. This would be a great meal for emergency preparedness, one can of Chili, Rice and some water and you can feed four hungry people a hot meal. Thanks for watching!
