Winner: “Serendipity” By Gary Fua

“After several attempts of trying to photograph the iconic Tunnel View in winter clothes, the moment finally arrived!” says Fua. “I knew that a clearing storm and a colorful sunrise is possible on that early-morning drive. We arrived at the location and squeezed through the crowds of photographers. We waited for each passing minute as gracefully the cloak of mist started to unveil the granite peaks.

“I opted for a composition that will represent the beauty of fresh snow, so I decided to move to the far-right section of the overlook where trees were gently wrapped in white snow. The clouds were lit up, but no colors showed. Overall, it was a perfect snow day, a winter wonderland scene in Yosemite National Park.”
